Baumann to Present at Symposium on Simulation for Architecture and Urban Design

April 12, 2015

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Annie Marston, Head of Building Performance, and Raghuram Sunnam, Building Performance Analyst, will present at the 6th annual Symposium on Simulation for Architecture and Urban Design to be held in Alexandria, VA from April 12-15, 2015. The presentation, entitled “Analyzing Indoor Comfort Conditions through Simulation and On-Site Measurements”, is a case study focused on using simulation and measurement strategies to determine additional cooling capacity needed to achieve thermal comfort in the conference rooms of an office building in Frankfurt, Germany.

SimAUD brings together the brightest researchers and practitioners in the fields of architecture, urban design, urban planning, building science, visualization and simulation. With the advent of advanced design and simulation tools as well as high-performance computing, we now have the potential to predict how buildings and whole neighborhoods will perform long before their construction. SimAUD contributes to the growing knowledge pool that will allow society to reduce the environmental and economic impact of the built environment through modeling and simulation. SimAUD is run collaboratively with ACM/SIGSIM and is sponsored by The Society for Modeling and Simulation International.
