Ayana May is a Sustainability Consultant for Baumann’s Washington D.C. Office and a member of our Sustainability Committee. She has over five years of sustainability experience in the US and Australia with a focus on sustainability building certifications, primarily for office, retail, and hospitality projects.
Ayana has taken an instrumental role in managing LEED documentation for key projects and has also become the in-house expert on Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). In addition, she undertook the WELL Health-Safety certification for our D.C. Office. Ayana has had tremendous professional growth in the past year – earning two accreditations (WELL AP and ActiveScore AP), hosting a roundtable at Greenbuild 2023 in Washington D.C., and taking courses to achieve a comprehensive understanding of LCA and embodied carbon. Ayana has been an invaluable addition to the sustainability team, and we eagerly anticipate her continued growth and contributions.
Outside of the office, Ayana enjoys cat-sitting and trying out restaurants in the DMV.
