Ayana May is a Sustainability Consultant for Baumann’s Washington D.C. office. She has over five years of sustainability experience in the US and Australia with a focus on sustainability building certifications, primarily for office, retail, and hospitality projects.

Prior to joining Baumann, Ayana’s role included Associate Sustainability Project Manager and Documentation Specialist. Her focus was on the rating systems LEED for Homes and Interior Design for both v4 and v4.1. Ayana advised clients on sustainability strategies for their projects to achieve the targeted certification level. Ayana also served as a Sustainability Consultant Intern at a consulting firm in Sydney, Australia where she executed carbon neutrality projects across all offices. She also collaborated with project managers on the Illegal Dumping Strategy Project for the City of Sydney.

Additionally, Ayana serves as Emerging Professionals Committee Chair of the USGBC Ohio Southwest Leadership.
