Hiten Chhajed is a Commissioning and Energy Engineer for Baumann Consulting’s Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Energy Audit team and focuses on energy auditing and benchmarking, modeling, and energy management. Hiten completed his Master’s in Energy Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Prior to joining Baumann, Hiten worked as an Energy Engineer for energy-saving companies in the pharmaceutical industry. His role mainly involved energy auditing, calculating energy savings, and benchmarking. Hiten has experience working with utility companies like Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Gas & Electric on their incentive programs as a third-party contractor in Salt Lake City, UT.

As a LEED Green Associate, Hiten is passionate about sustainability and has worked on several ASHRAE and ISHRAE projects during his graduate and undergraduate programs.
