Brandon Pieczynski is a Commissioning and Energy Engineer based out of Baumann’s Chicago office with more than 6 years of experience in energy conservation and operations management. His primary responsibilities include commissioning, energy benchmarking, operational diagnostics, and data analysis & management. Brandon is also a member of Baumann’s Commissioning Committee.
Brandon graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies with an emphasis on Energy Studies. While in school, Brandon interned as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst for the Village of Carol Stream’s Engineering Department.
Prior to joining Baumann, Brandon worked as an Energy & Sustainability Analyst for a multi-family REIT based in Chicago. In this role, he managed the firm’s utility operations across multiple states which included: coordinating energy and water conservation projects, energy benchmarking, managing the firm’s energy supply contracts, and improving operations & maintenance procedures.
Outside of work, Brandon volunteers as a member of the Illinois Green Alliance’s Auxiliary Board helping to promote carbon drawdown strategies in the built environment. He was the recipient of the 2021 Illinois Green Alliance Outstanding Volunteer award.
