Anis Ben Ayed is an Expert Energy Engineer with Baumann’s Existing Building Energy Decarbonization Group. He has 19 years of experience and specializes in benchmarking, energy auditing, energy modeling, building performance simulations, and compliance documentation. He earned his Master’s in Energy and Sustainable Building Design from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Baumann, Anis worked as an Energy Engineer, assisting clients with compliance energy modeling. His role mainly involved conducting building performance simulations and documenting compliance with the LEED rating system using IES, eQuest, and Trace. Anis has also worked as a LEED project reviewer focusing on the Energy and Atmosphere Credits, where he reviewed and commented on hundreds of projects nationwide. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Anis is passionate about sustainability and high-performance buildings and has worked on projects in the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
