Scott Emery joined Baumann Consulting in 2016 as the Director of Mechanical Engineering. In his current role, Scott leads Baumann Consulting’s DC office and existing building decarbonization consulting services.
Scott has over 30 years of experience in technical, business, and leadership roles. His experiences range from materials research and development to leadership in international manufacturing to technical consulting in renewable and alternative energy engineering firms.
Scott has been the lead on many commissioning, re-commissioning, and energy audit projects while at Baumann. He also provides geothermal consulting services with an emphasis on installation inspections and ground loop testing. Scott has placed an emphasis on following the development of building performance standards and has developed a high degree of expertise with respect to Washington DC’s Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS).
Scott’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. He is a licensed PE in Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland and a member of ASHRAE.
