Mauritius Höfe is the redevelopment of a 1.8-acre district in Wiesbaden. The vision is to transform the site with mostly unoccupied buildings into a lively and sustainable district extending the nearby pedestrian-focused shopping area in the city center. The district will provide a mix of offices, apartments, shopping, hotels, gyms, and restaurants which combines work, living, leisure, and shopping.
Baumann is the sustainability consultant for this visionary development. The project is pursuing LEED Neighborhood Development and LEED New Construction certifications for each building at the Platinum level.
Baumann is verifying and documenting compliance with ESG. To document the focus on sustainability, Baumann created a project-specific ESG report that highlights the conservation of resources, such as capturing and reusing rainwater for sewage conveyance, reducing operational carbon emissions by building according to the EG40 standard, and reducing embodied carbon by reusing the existing building structure as much as possible.
