Baumann is pleased to announce that Senior Mechanical Engineer David Smith, PE, LEED AP BD+C, CPMP has been awarded the ASHRAE Commissioning Process Management Professional Certification (CPMP).
With this certification, David joins an elite group of 1,700 industry professionals certified by ASHRAE who have demonstrated their knowledge and expertise in the HVAC&R industry.
The CPMP Certification helps building owners, developers, standards writing agencies and others to assess the capability of individuals to develop and manage the whole building commissioning process with the owner. Baumann supports David’s efforts to expand his industry knowledge and relate his CPMP qualifications to the entire commissioning process and looks forward to assisting clients and partners with the application of these principles to their projects.
David has over nineteen years of experience in the commercial design and construction industry where his experience includes designing, selling, managing and commissioning projects ranging in scope from energy-upgrade retrofits in existing facilities to new multi-million dollar hospitals and research facilities. He has served as the principal designer and Engineer-of-Record on a number of projects and thrives at supporting each step of the process, from initial design and cost estimate to construction coordination and project management. His commissioning experience includes Fundamental Commissioning, Enhanced Commissioning, and Retro-Commissioning services. David’s strengths lie in closely collaborating with each member of the project team to best deliver a successful, sustainable, fully-functional project on time and on budget.
