Project Consultant Jonathan Lemmond Earns LEED AP BD+C Certification

Baumann is pleased to announce that Senior Engineer and Project Consultant Jonathan Lemmond has been awarded the LEED AP BD+C Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

With this certification, Jonathan joins an elite group of green building professionals in the U.S. and around the world who have demonstrated leadership in the field and are active participants in the green building movement who contribute expertise to the design, construction, operations and maintenance of buildings and neighborhoods that save energy, use fewer resources, reduce pollution, and contribute to healthier environments for their occupants and the community.

Jon joined Baumann Consulting as a Senior Engineer in the commissioning team in 2013. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and M.Eng. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Berkley in California. Jon’s graduate research focused on the life-cycle environmental impacts of structural steel, and during this time he served as a visiting scholar at Beijing’s Tsinghua University to collaborate with researchers focusing on life-cycle assessments and indoor air pollution. Jon’s experience includes working on measurement and verification for the DC Sustainable Utility Program. He has also provided free home energy assessments throughout the Washington, D.C. area as a volunteer for Groundswell (formerly WeatherizeDC) and is an active board member of SustainUS, a non-profit organization that empowers youth to advance sustainable development. Baumann congratulates Jon on his accomplishment and is proud to have his diverse experience on the team.
