We are thrilled to announce that the Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung Hesse (KVH) or “Medical Association of Hesse” building in Frankfurt, Germany is now complete and LEED® certified to the Gold level!

Located in Europaviertel, one of the biggest and most significant inner city urban developments in Germany, this new administrative building boasts many features that contribute its LEED® status. The comb-like layout of the building provides nearly every employee with views of the generously planned open spaces of the inner courtyard and vegetated outdoor areas.  Green roofs are adorned with various plants, adding an element of nature to the bustling office building. With close proximity to the S-Bahn, tram, and a bus stop directly in front of the building, the location of the KVH offers employees the opportunity to make use of the strong public transportation system and the numerous services in the area. Keeping sustainability in mind, the building’s facilities encourage physical activity. The installation of showers for cyclists and a fitness area encourage employees to stay active. An employee restaurant as well as in-house childcare with its own playground are among other attractive features of this modern office building.

The KVH building is yet another green landmark that has emerged in Europaviertel, which in the last 10 years has evolved from a freight station into a versatile center in the heart of Frankfurt.

Baumann Consulting is proud to have supported the architects TGA and electrical planners in an advisory capacity to officially seal the sustainability objectives of the project with a LEED Gold certification.

In addition to consulting on the LEED® certification for Lang & Cie. Real Estate and Groß & Partner Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, Baumann Consulting was responsible for an energy building simulation as well as commissioning for the project.
