We are happy to announce that Justin Lueker, who previously worked as an intern in our Washington, D.C. and Chicago offices, has rejoined our team as an Engineer in the D.C. office.
Justin recently graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in Civil Engineering and Music Composition and a certificate in Architectural Engineering and Design. During his studies, Justin worked alongside a professor researching the remote detection of micro-fluctuations in building climate and structural conditions. He was also heavily involved in an architecture studio developing conceptual designs for projects ranging from a single-family home to a 2 million square foot high-rise building in downtown Chicago.
As an intern with Baumann, Justin assisted in building operation diagnostics, building commissioning and field testing of HVAC components. He also programmed mobile tablets for efficient data logging during facility inspections. Other parts of his internship were spent assisting the energy modeling team with the input of building geometries into modeling software and gaining exposure to LEED v3 and v4 certification. Justin is in the process of becoming E.I.T. certified and looks forward to earning his LEED AP certification in the near future.
Please join us in welcoming Justin as we look forward to having his unique experience back on the team.
