Washington D.C., February 2013.

Torsten Biernat, Consultant for Green Building & Facility Management at Ebert & Baumann Consulting Engineers, Inc. (EB) just achieved “DGNB Consultant” status with the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) after undergoing rigorous training and testing in Munich, Germany. This certifies Torsten to advise building owners and investors who are interested in obtaining DGNB certification for their project. The DGNB System provides an objective description and assessment of the sustainability of buildings and urban districts. Quality is assessed comprehensively over the entire life cycle of the building. The DGNB Certification System can be applied internationally and the Council awards the DGNB Certificate in bronze, silver, and gold. In addition, there is the option of a simple pre-certification in the planning phase. Ebert & Baumann Consulting Engineers, Inc. is proud of Torsten Biernat’s achievement and thrilled to continue its work with and support of the DGNB System.
