Baumann Consulting celebrated with the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Landesbetrieb Bau und Immobilien Hessen (LBIH), and other distinguished guests as they broke ground on construction of the new middle school in Wiesbaden-Hainerberg, Germany.
This building will follow the DoDEA’s guidelines for their “21st Century Schools” standard which entails a new approach to education with a shift from classroom focus to community focus. There will also be significant changes to the building architecture, an emphasis on integrating modern technology into the classroom, and a focus on sustainability.
The Wiesbaden-Hainerberg Middle School will be seeking LEED Silver certification. Baumann Consulting provides a variety of services including LEED consulting, energy modeling, and commissioning.
