Baumann Consulting’s Raghuram Sunnam will be speaking at Building Simulation 2017 on Tuesday, August 7, 2017 at 9:45 am at the Hyatt Regency Embaracadero on San Francisco, CA.
His session is entitled “Views from around the world” and will focus on the modeling efforts required to complete whole building simulations of various high performing office buildings in Germany and the USA.
According to 2016 global energy efficiency rankings, the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) ranked Germany 1st among developed countries. The United States was ranked 8th (Kallakuri et al.). In addition to requiring higher standards for key building performance parameters, certain building attributes are unique to German code and are not mandated in the US in any form. In his presentation, Raghu will explain the technologies that are typically used to achieve the high-performance requirements in the two countries.
