Get a Benchmarking Data Verification Quote

For privately owned buildings greater than 25,000 square feet in Washington, D.C., 2023 building energy benchmarking data must be third-party verified. Benchmarking data verification is essential to fulfilling Washington, D.C.’s goals of promoting sustainable behaviors and enhancing building energy performance and is a key element of the City’s Building Energy Performance Standard (BEPS).

An Approved District Data Verifier (ADDV) must be hired by property owners and must complete benchmarking verification by April 1, 2024. As an ADDV, Baumann Consulting can provide third-party benchmarking data verification for your property.

To receive a quote for your property’s third-party verification, please fill out the form to the right of this page. The fields marked with an asterisk* are mandatory. For information such as PMID and number of added uses, you can refer to your Energy Star Portfolio Manager profile.

If you want to get pricing for data verification services for more than one property, reach out to us at benchmarking@baumann-us.com.

In Energy Star Portfolio Manager, an "added use type" refers to an additional category of energy usage beyond typical building functions, such as residential or commercial. For instance, a multifamily building with a restaurant on the ground floor, or an office building with retail space on the ground floor.
