Janae Johnson is a Commissioning & Energy Engineer for Baumann’s Washington, DC office. Janae works on various commissioning projects including new construction commissioning, monitor-based commissioning, and building enclosure commissioning. She is enthusiastic about ensuring sustainability and quality are achieved throughout each step of the commissioning process, ensuring successful results for all of Baumann’s clients.
Janae graduated in 2020 from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. While in school, she interned as a Continuous Improvement Intern for Eaton where she developed an interest in boosting effectiveness and quality control, ultimately resulting in process improvement from start to finish of any project she’s involved with.
Prior to joining Baumann, Janae worked in various roles. As a Robotics Deployment Engineer, she supervised, executed, and validated the deployment of some of Amazon’s largest fulfillment centers. As a Field Service Engineer and Electrical Controls Commissioning Engineer, she’s worked everything from startup to testing and validation on various electromechanical systems, specializing in warehouse buildings (Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc.). Through her various roles, she has developed expertise in mechanical, electrical, and control systems which she brings to the commissioning process with the varied catalog of Baumann’s projects.
