The USGBC recently selected Kelly Adighije of Ebert & Baumann Consulting Engineers, Inc. as a member of the LEED Energy & Atmosphere (EA) Technical Advisory Group (TAG). According to the USGBC, TAGs recommend technical solutions, aid rating system development and streamline credit interpretation rulings. “The groups provide a consistent source of technical advice to LEED committees and working groups regarding credit and prerequisite improvement and supporting tool development. Technical Advisory Groups are structured to include expertise for specific technical issues: location and planning, sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources and indoor environmental quality.”
Kelly underwent a rigorous review process before approval by the LEED Steering Committee and Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. EB is proud of Kelly’s efforts and the distinction that this appointment affords him. Kelly has nine years of experience in the Engineering & Sustainability industry working in the UK, Switzerland, and the USA. His international knowledge and experience will provide a unique perspective and his work in the EA TAG will help the steering committee to improve LEED standards to suit a readily changing market landscape.
