Hotel Element is located in Gateway Gardens in Frankfurt, Germany. Gateway Gardens, an impressive new development project aimed at providing a sustainable, mixed-use hub adjacent to the Frankfurt International Airport, will be one of the first districts in the country to be certified under the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council standard. In order to meet the ambitious energy consumption and emission reduction targets for the site, buildings must be built and operated in accordance with the rigorous specifications of the German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV), which many buildings are set to exceed by 30% or more.

Baumann Consulting performed Commissioning (Cx), LEED and performance modeling services for this LEED for New Construction (LEED-NC) version 3.0 certified project. Baumann consulted closely with the client to provide 133 light-filled studio and one-bedroom suites that are stylish, sustainable, and comfortable in keeping with the tenets of the Element brand.
